INTERIM DIRECTIVES ON GHOSPA STRIKE ACTIONS

The Ministry of Health has noted with regret the continuing strike action embarked upon by GHOSPA,  and its adverse effects on service delivery across the nation. In order to mitigate  the effects and sustain service delivery across the country, all service delivery Agencies  (GHS, CHAG, Teaching Hospitals) are to comply with the following interim directives whilst we try to resolve the issues:
1. Adopt all practical and immediate steps to ensure  uninterrupted delivery of pharmaceutical services.
2. Conduct inventory of all pharmacies to ascertain and manage stock levels necessary for effective service delivery.
We are also pleased to announce to the public that CHAG Facilities are fully operational in line with their non-strike tradition. Accordingly, the general public could access pharmaceutical services in those facilities.
We wish to assure the public that the MOH would  be monitoring the situation in the hope of finding acceptable and lasting solutions to the ongoing strike action.
