Finance Minister, Seth Terkper has indicated that the government has enough funds to carry out development projects in the country this year.
Subsequently, he has allayed the continuous fears expressed by the country’s development partners and rating agencies, saying that the government will not be tempted to over-spend in this election year to disturb the positive gains it has chalked up in putting the country’s deficit in check.
Mr. Terkper gave the assurance at a breakfast meeting in Accra where he briefed members of the American Chamber of Commence ( ACHAM) Ghana on the state of the country’s economy.
“We have enough funds to take care of the many projects we have envisaged, so I want to assure you all and the international community that we remain focused and there is no cause for alarm, he said.
